Change table borders, colours, and size

Easily customise your tables in Canva. Change the border colour, border weight, make cells a uniform size, or resize them to follow their content.

1. Select the table.
2. On the editor toolbar, select
   Border.
3. Select which borders of the table you want to edit.
4. To change the border color, select the color tile, and select from the options.
5. To change the thickness, select
   Border style icon and move the slider left or right.

Select a single cell in the Table to resize rows or columns. Selecting the whole Table doesn't show sizing options.

Rows

1. Select any cell in the row you want to resize. To select more than one row, hold Shift and select another one.
2. Select the
   More icon that appears on the Table.
3. Choose an option:
   • If you selected one row, select
     Size row to content to fit the row to its text.
   • If you selected two or more rows, select
     Size rows equally to make them the same height, or
     Size rows to content to fit each row to its own text.

Rows can't be shorter than their text. Make the text smaller to use a shorter row.

Columns

1. Select any cell in the column you want to resize. To select more than one column, hold Shift and select another one.
2. Select the
   More icon that appears on the Table.
3. Choose an option:
   • If you selected one column, select
     Size column to content to fit the column to its text.
   • If you selected two or more columns, select
     Size columns equally to make them the same width, or
     Size columns to content to fit each column to its own content.

You can't type an exact row height or column width for a Table. Use the sizing options above instead.
